Amy Jo Johnson - At a diminutive 5'2"
"A.J" may be considered a strange choice to play a superhero in a cult TV show
but she proved her critics wrong with a host of sterling performances which lead to lead
roles in the "blockbuster" movies "Susie Q" and "Perfect
Body". Amy grew up in Cape Cod, Massachusetts (not in Wales). As a child she competed
as a gymnast, she gave up competing when she was 17, and concentrated more on her acting
interests, appearing in various community theatre projects. Once she graduated from high
school she went to New York to study at the American Musical Dramatic Academy. After two
years there she moved to California where she landed the aforementioned part as a
super-hero in "Power Rangers". After her stint there she went back to the
theatre, as well as doing several mega hit movies. She is currently starring as Julie on
hit TV show "Felicity"
Ice Cube - Ice Cube first came to public notice
as a singer and songwriter with the controversial and influential band N.W.A. (Niggaz With
Attitudes). His compositions with that group included many of the classic cuts from their
debut LP "Straight Outta Compton" (Ruthless/Priority, 1989), including the title
track, "F*ck Tha Police", "Gangsta Gangsta" and "Express
Yourself". He quit the band over business differences in 1990 and began a
still-growing series of commercially and critically acclaimed solo albums, starting with
"AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" (Priority, 1990). His second solo album, "Death
Certificate" (Priority, 1991), a concept album about the fall and rise of the Black
man, sold two million copies, and his subsequent solo output (six albums to date total)
has sold over ten million copies. He has discovered YoYo, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien (of
Gorillaz fame), K-Dee, and Mack 10, and produced, written, toured, and recorded with
Public Enemy, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, George Clinton, among others. His movie career
has been no less stellar. Ice Cube's debut in "Boys In Tha Hood" (1990) led to
more roles in such films as "Trespass" (1994). Ice Cube made his screenwriting
debut with "Friday" (1995).
Tommy Scott
- Born Feburary 18th 1966 Tommy Scott is the lead singer of Liverpool based Indie-Rock
band Space. Forming the band in 1993 he played bass until "Yorkie" became
the offical bass player. His hero as a child was Anfield legend Kevin Keegan whom he
watched from the terraces as a small boy. As well as writing vocals for Space he
recorded a duet with Welsh temptress Cerys Matthews (of Catatonia) entitled "The
Ballad of Tom Jones". Scott famously sings in this chart topping hit "... I
don't come from Wales".
